What is the Atrium?
The Atrium is a prepared environment that responds to the child's religious needs, where they can explore and live their relationship with God through concrete materials and sensory experiences. At Arxe International School we have three atriums dedicated exclusively to the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
Our Methodology
Montessori Method
Applied to religious education, respecting the natural learning rhythm of each child.
Contemplation and Prayer
Fosters spontaneous prayer and contemplation as natural forms of encounter with God.
Biblical Materials
Specific and concrete materials for each biblical presentation, designed for each stage of development.
Our Three Atriums
Atrium I
Ages 3 – 6
The youngest children discover God through concrete materials and sensory experiences. Play and contemplation unite to awaken the soul.
Atrium II
Ages 6 – 9
Children deepen their relationship with the Word of God and the sacraments. They learn to pray, reflect, and live the faith with greater understanding.
Atrium III
Ages 9 – 12
Faith is consolidated with a deeper sense of vocation and service. Students prepare to receive the sacraments and live as true Christian leaders.
